Brawl Stars Brawl Talk Reveals Three New Brawlers & More

A new Brawl Stars Brawl Talk has arrived, revealing three new brawlers, a revamped cosmetic shop, changes to skins, and much more. Supercell’s latest Brawl Talk revealed all the new brawlers coming to the game in April, May, and June. Furthermore, they revealed a new Buffie Machine, updates to the free Buffies machine, new buffies, and more. Without further ado, let’s dive right in.

Brawl Stars Adding Three New Brawlers – Damian, Starr Nova, & Bolt

Overall, three new Brawlers are coming to Brawl Stars according to the latest Brawl Talk:

Damian will arrive in April and is the third member of Draco and Lumi’s trio. He’s a short range brawler who punches enemies with his main attack. Every third successive hit knocks enemies back and sets them on fire. This fire also explodes, dealing area damage.

For his Super, Damian jumps toward a targeted area, and when he lands, spawns a giant circle full of speakers. Enemies trapped within the Speakers will take damage if they try to escape. Their only methods of survival include destroying the speakers or beating Damian in Combat.

Furthermore, Damian possesses a Hypercharge at launch that sets the floor on fire when he uses his Super.

Starr Nova is another new brawler who arrives in May. She’s another brawler who possesses two forms, activating her second form when using her Super. Her main attacck is a mid-range projectile that pierces through enemies.

Her Super lets her dash through enemies, dealing slight damage along the way. But when she does this, she transforms into a stronger version of herself. In this form, she slashes enemies with a sword in a cone-shaped range, dealing tons of damage. Additionally, she gains health every time she hits an enemy, and moves faster in this state in general.

Her special form only lasts for a limited time, so make good use of it. But with its high damage output, it’s more than worth using in combat.

Lastly, Bolt is the last new revealed and will arrive in June. He’s perhaps the most unique brawler in this new Brawl Talk, thanks to his main attack. Bolt moves faster the longer you move forward with him. For his main attack, he rolls around in a ball, damaging enemies along the way.

The faster Bolt moves, the more damage he deals. However, sharp turns and stops will lower his speed bar, causing you to deal less damage again. Using his main attack speeds him up a bit, and deals bonus damage for a brief duration.

Furthermore, his Super lets him accelerate even faster, grants him damage reduction, and leaves a damaging trail behind him.

Juju’s Oddity Shop – Brawl Stars Brawl Talk

Supercell revealed that they will be reworking the Brawl Stars Shop, including a new Oddity Shop from Juju. This particular area is where you spend your Bling to unlock new Skins and such. However, this also means you can’t spend Bling in the catalog, which is also being removed from the Shop.

The new Oddities Shop features all sorts of bundles where you can unlock Mythic and Legendary Skins, cosmetics, and more. Everyone’s Shop is personalized, meaning we all get different bundle offers. If you’re lucky enough, you can get a Bundle for FREE. Some Bundles even include progression items for the first time like Starr Drops and more.

To compensate this change, there is a smaller chance of earning these bundle rewards in Starr Drops. But that means you’ll have a better chance of earning progression items, brawlers, gadgets, star powers, and more. However, Supercell plans to add an extra Mega Quest that grants you extra bling, as well as more Bling in the Brawl Pass. So you’ll still be able to earn skins at a similar pace as the previous system.

Skin Rarity Changes

In addition to all the new skins in the upcoming seasons, Supercell is making the following improvements to skins:

  • Mythic Skins – receiving Takedown VFX,
  • Legendary Skins – receiving Takedown and Spawn VFX

These updates do not affect current skins, but rather new skins that appear from now on.

New Buffies, Buffies Machine, & More

Buffies will now be split into Trio Machines, making it so there’s only one trio per machine. Overall, this makes it slightly easier to unlock the Buffie you want. Additionally, they’re updating the Free Buffie Machine to allow you a Free Buffie in every update.

Without further ado, let’s look at all the Buffies and Gadget Reworks coming in the next update for Griff, Edgar, and Colette:

  • Griff Buffies
    • Piggy Bank Gadget – Now aimable and increased explosion radius when you shoot at it
    • Coin Shower Gadget – Targets a specific area which grows over time
    • Keep the Change Star Power – Wider attack range, adds another row of coins, and adds a Mega Coin to the center of the attack
    • Business Resilience Star Power – Makes Griff’s Super heal himself when projectiles return
    • Tax Rebate Hypercharge – Makes main attack pierce through enemies
  • Colette Buffies
    • Na-Ah Gadget – Now fires a projectile that charms a brawler and makes them walk toward her (Buffie allows projectile to pierce walls)
    • Gotcha Gadget – Aimable with up to three uses at a time, and overheals Colette when buffied
    • Push It Star Power – Brawlers are unable to attack Colette at the end of her push. Buffie increases her dash speed
    • Mass Tax Star Power – Better damage reduction which increases if she hits an enemy. With the Buffie, it steals ammo from the target
    • Teen Spirit Hypercharge – Now throws a second, smaller attack
  • Edgar Buffies
    • Let’s Fly Gadget – Aimable scarf that latches onto enemies or walls and moves faster if he hits a target
    • Hardcore Gadget – Grants immunity to crowd control abilities
    • Hard Landing Star Power – Applies to his Let’s Fly Gadget and deals more damage if you land directly on top (charges Super with the Buffie)
    • Fisticuffs Star Power – Buffie heals Edgar when taking down a Brawler
    • Outburst Hypercharge – Adds two extra attack with longer range but less damage

New Game Modes – Brawl Stars

Overall, new modes are coming to Brawl Stars in the upcoming update. Firstly, a new Starr Patrol Modifier lets you pick up Crystals that power up your Brawler. The Power-Ups vary based on the brawler, and more unique interactions for each matchup.

Furthermore, Supercell plans to add more 5v1 Boss Battles. For the upcoming season, expect to take on Void Finx and Void Colette.

Lastly, in partnership with Adidas, Brawl Stars is adding a Super Ball Game Mode. It essentially works like Brawl Ball, but with a goalie. You can stun the goalie, but can’t actually defeat it. Furthermore holding the aim button with the ball increases its charging power, letting you perform some sick shots. Maxed charged balls can actually damage opponents and knock them back.

Additionally, Supercell plans to rework the ball and puck logic in Brawl Hockey and Brawl Ball.

Miscellaneous

Lastly, Supercell confirmed the following improvements and additions:

  • A new Hypercharge for Najia
  • Ability to report bad behavior for Trophy Games
  • Favorite friends on your friends list
