Brawl Stars Bo Guide – Best Gadgets, Star Powers, & More
In this Brawl Stars Bo guide, we’ll take a look at his attacks, stats, and skills and create the best build possible. Bo is a long range brawler who can place mines and deal solid damage. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Bo.
Brawl Stars Bo Guide – How To Unlock
To unlock Bo in Brawl Stars, players can:
- Purchase him for 925 Credits (or 169 gems)
- Make sure Bo is your selected Brawler on Starr Road
- Unlock him from a:
- Mythic (10.37%) or Legendary (18.29%) Starr Drop
- Mythic (13.59%), or Legendary (16.3%) Chaos Drop
- Mega Box (0.3% chance)
- *Players may also unlock Bo from different, rarer rewards like Sushi Rolls, Presents, or Angelic/Demonic Drops
You’ll most likely unlock Bo on Trophy Road, though it’ll take a bit of time. Grinding trophies to earn him may take awhile, and you may need to play with several brawlers to rack up trophies.
Brawl Stars Bo Guide – Attacks & Stats Per Level
Bo’s Main Attack, Eagle-Eyed, lets him fire off a trio of arrows in a sweeping spread, with each arrow dealing damage. The attack has a slow cooldown, but makes up for it in terms of damage.
Bo’s Super, Catch a Fox, lets him lay three mines from a distance that stick to the ground and are invisible to enemies. Each mine is spread out, covering a fairly wide area. When an enemy gets close to the mine, it sets off a short detonation timer. When a mine explodes, it deals damage and causes knock back.
Furthermore, Bo’s Hypercharge, Catch a Bear, lets his Super deploy five mines instead of 3. These do not override any mines already placed by his Super, making it possible to have eight total mines on the map.
Additionally, take a look at Bo’s stats (These are Bo’s stats as of May 2026. All Stats are subject to changes and may not be reflected here):
| POWER LEVEL | HEALTH | Main Attack Damage (Per Arrow) | Super Damage (Per Mine) |
| 1 | 3800 | 640 | 1440 |
| 2 | 4180 | 704 | 1584 |
| 3 | 4560 | 768 | 1728 |
| 4 | 4940 | 832 | 1872 |
| 5 | 5320 | 896 | 2016 |
| 6 | 5700 | 960 | 2160 |
| 7 | 6080 | 1024 | 2304 |
| 8 | 6460 | 1088 | 2448 |
| 9 | 6840 | 1152 | 2592 |
| 10 | 7220 | 1216 | 2736 |
| 11 | 7600 | 1280 | 2880 |
Brawl Stars Bo Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?
Overall, Bo has two gadgets:
- Super Totem – “Bo places a totem that increases allies’ Super charging rate. The totem slowly loses its health over time.”
- Buffie Effect – “The totem has significantly increased radius.”
- Tripwire – “Bo fires tripwires at his mines, detonating them and causing damage to anyone hit by a tripwire.”
- Buffie Effect – “Detonated mines have a bigger blast radius!”
Additionally, Bo has two Star Powers:
- Circling Eagle – “Bo spots enemies hidden in bushes from +150% further away.”
- Buffie Effect – “Bo is no longer revealed when attacking from bushes.”
- Snare a Bear – “Instead of a knockback, Bo’s traps now stun the enemy!”
- Buffie Effect – “Significantly increases trap placement speed.”
Furthermore, Bo can use the following gears in battle:
- Speed
- Vision
- Health
- Shield
- Damage
- Gadget Cooldown
Brawl Stars Bo Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup
For Gadgets, we recommend Super Totem. While Tripwire can surprise enemies, it doesn’t always work the way you want to. Meanwhile, Super Totem (as long as its active) benefits you and your teammates. However, it does encourage teammates to get a bit too close, which may also work against them. Therefore, use it wisely.
For Star Powers, we love Snare a Bear for its stun properties. Not every map is filled with bushes, making Circling Eagle rather useless. The stun from Bo’s mines are often good enough to take down or severely damage an enemy. And the Buffie Effect with faster trap placement makes it a must-have.
For Gears, we recommend Damage and Shield Gears. These are our go-to-gears for most brawlers as they boost both offensive and defensive capabilities. You can also try a Gadget Cooldown gear if you really like using Super Totem.
Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Bo In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)
Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout
As a long-range brawler with a great Super, Bo works extremely well in these modes. He can hit brawlers from afar, and has just enough HP to take a couple of hits. He can spawn a Super Totem in a safe spot and use it to charge him and his allies’ Supers. Then, he can use his own Super to plant mines and catch enemies off guard. Once they’re stunned, it’s usually a guaranteed knockout for the team.
Hot Zone
Bo’s Super and sweeping range of his attack make him a good choice for HZ. His Super can block enemies from entering the zone, and his main attack has a nice spread that usually guarantees getting one hit on your target. Once again, Super Totem allows for Bo and his teammates to get their Supers and put the hurt down on enemies.
Brawl Ball
Bo’s Mines play a vital role in Brawl Ball. They can stun enemies (with Snare a Bear), and destroy walls, which opens up scoring lanes. He also deals solid damage, which can be helpful in taking down tanks or potential goal-scorers. Overall, he works well in this mode, but he also needs to have a good teammate composition.
Brawl Stars Bo Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use Bo In?
Solo Showdown
Bo is one of the few brawlers who works well in almost every mode. But perhaps one of his weakest modes is Solo Showdown. Super Totem is more vulnerable due to the greater number of enemies. Furthermore, Bo deals a lot of damage, but he’s ill-equipped to take down a Shelly or Bull who surprises him out of nowhere. While we still recommend Snare a Bear, players may also want to try Circling Eagle to see what’s ahead.
Overall, that wraps up our Brawl Stars Bo Guide!
