Bob MacIntyre risks new Masters punishment after ignoring official Augusta warning
Robert MacIntyre appeared to ignore an official Masters warning with his social media behaviour on Friday.
The Scotsman endured a nightmare opening day at Augusta on Thursday, ending his first 18 holes with a score of +8.

MacIntyre improved dramatically on Friday and shot a one-under-par 71, but still fell short of the four-over-par cutline.
The Ryder Cup star generated headlines on Thursday during a quadruple bogey on 15.
MacIntyre went viral for sticking his middle finger up in the direction of the green.
Etiquette is a key part of the Masters at Augusta National, with the club holding everyone to a high standard.
And officials did end up stepping in to speak to him.
According to The Scotsman, the 29-year-old was reprimanded by officials following his behaviour during his first round.
He is said to have been reminded of the strict code of conduct.
MacIntyre was also told off for his actions earlier on in his opening round too, as he was caught swearing on course-side mics.
The current world No.8 slammed his club to the turf too, venting his frustration on the 17th hole following a seemingly poor shot.
Unaffected
However, after his early departure on Friday, MacIntyre took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself as one of the famous Augusta gnomes – with its middle finger up.

Having already been reprimanded by Masters officials, the Green Jackets are not likely to see the funny side.
MacIntyre refused to speak with media for the second consecutive day after missing the cut.
Ironically, the gnomes have also had their own controversial story at the 2026 Masters.
The novelty item has been placed on resale sites at almost 10 times its actual value ($50).
It has led to speculation that the much-loved gnomes could be removed from the shelves next year.
Augusta chairman Fred Ridley was even asked about it in his pre-tournament press conference.
“Number one: the question is not trivial,” Ridley said on Wednesday.
“Number two: I’ve been asking that question for several years and they won’t tell me the answer, so I can’t help you.”
