Gabby Agbonlahor made a jubilant appearance on The Sports Bar to celebrate Aston Villa reaching the Europa League final.

A 4-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest sealed their 4-1 aggregate win on Thursday night and booked their trip to Istanbul on May 20.

Villa will battle German outfit Freiburg for the trophy, which could be their first since winning the 1995/96 League Cup.

Ollie Watkins, Emi Buendia and John McGinn were their heroes on the night as they overcame their first leg defeat.

Club legend Agbonlahor celebrated all of their goals while featuring on the talkSPORT Goals Europa League Special alongside talkSPORT’s Max Scott, who is of the Forest faithful.

And Agbonlahor returned to the studio just minutes later to gatecrash the opening exchanges of The Sports Bar with Jamie O’Hara and Jason Cundy.

He stormed in singing and shouting ‘Up the Villa!’, before he gleefully added: “Nottingham Forest, do me a favour!”

Agbonlahor then wore Cundy’s infamous Ange Postecoglou mask, which has gone viral in recent weeks as he pokes fun at Tottenham Hotspur.

“Istanbul, let’s go, let’s go baby!” he cried, before taking aim at Nottingham exports Robin Hood, Stuart Broad and even HP sauce in his own ‘Has anyone seen?!’

Agbonlahor: McGinn was unbelievable

The ex-Villa striker also reflected on the match itself, with his beloved club potentially set to lift their first continental trophy since 1982 when they won the European Cup.

“Nottingham Forest had stage fright, they did,” he gloated.

“Concentrate on (fighting against) relegation, it’s all Forest had to do this season. Leave the big competitions to the big boys.”

He added: “I have to say, John McGinn tonight, oh Lord! 11/10, he was unbelievable. Watkins bullied the centre-halves.”

Villa will shift their focus back to the Premier League on Sunday when they travel to Burnley, before they face Liverpool at home on May 15.

Should they finish fifth and win the Europa League, then the sixth-place team in the Premier League will also qualify for the Champions League.

Villa’s clash against Freiburg will come four days before the final day of the Premier League season when they go to Manchester City.

Champions League football could already be secured by this point, but victory in Istanbul would be the icing on the Villa cake.
