Earlier this year, during the buildup to WWE WrestleMania 42, Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan began a rivalry with Stephanie Vaquer for her Women's World Championship. In the weeks leading up to their big match, fans regularly saw both women get extremely physical and violent.
In one such violent backstage segment, Vaquer would push Morgan hard into Roxanne Perez. Both women would brutally bump into each other, leading to Morgan suffering a hematoma just days before her big match.
Recently, speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, Morgan confirmed that the hematoma injury required multiple medical procedures as it refused to heal on its own following the freak WWE backstage accident.
“So Stephanie [Vaquer] pushed me into Roxanne [Perez], and me and Roxanne’s heads collided really hard, and I got this hematoma. And we thought it was just gonna go away, and it didn’t go away for like six or seven months,” she said. “And so then I got two rounds of steroid injections in it, and the steroid injections finally made it go away, but it ate away at the fat. So I had this divot in my head.
“So I just got a fat graft. So they put me under, and they went in through my belly button and took fat out of my abdomen and injected it through my hairline into my head. And so it’s gonna take like a couple weeks for it to smooth out, and then I won’t know for like three months if I need another one because your body only retains like a certain percentage of the fat,” Morgan finished discussing her surgery process.

Morgan is now scheduled to face Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match at WWE Money in the Bank for the Women's World Championship.
