One of the most popular internet celebrities and YouTube vloggers, Jake Paul has also essentially made a name for himself in boxing. A celebrity boxer himself, Paul is also known as the co-founder of MVP (Most Valuable Promotions).

Recently answering ClutchPoints' exclusive questions, former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley opened up about Paul's love for boxing. “Jake Paul, the boxer, I think he hit everybody with a hat trick. I think he is in love with the sport. There is nothing stopping him from training in a manner where he can become good. He learns fast. He has power.

“He likes challenges. It doesn’t matter where you came from. I came from wrestling; somebody else could come from football. It doesn’t matter that he came from TV if he puts his all into it,” Woodley said.

Currently injured and recovering from his second jaw surgery, Paul is now rumored to make his boxing return soon and fight former rival, Tommy Fury. Amid his injury absence, Paul had also expressed his interest in pursuing careers in MMA and the NFL.

Shortly after sharing his thoughts on Paul as a boxer, Woodley was asked to share his opinion on his former boss, Dana White. “Dana White, as a boss, his goal is the bottom line. His intention is to make his brand and UFC as big as possible. As an athlete, the best thing you can do is show how you can add to that, bring an audience with you, get paid as much as you can, win as many fights as you can, and have an exit strategy. From what I see, his goal is for himself and UFC to become the biggest brand, not necessarily the fighter becoming the biggest brand,” Woodley added.

Woodley, 44, joined the UFC in 2013 and had his last fight there in 2021.

Tyron Woodley dismisses Conor McGregor's fake UFC injury claims

After Conor McGregor returned at UFC 329, he suffered an ACL injury, which soon required surgery. However, days after McGregor sustained the injury, he found himself getting trolled on the internet about faking his injury. Speaking to ClutchPoints, Woodley dismissed the rumors.

“Nobody fakes injuries, man. When I looked at it, it looked more like a meniscus thing because I’ve had that injury before. He may have been dealing with something in training camp, thought he could overcome it, and then aggravated it. What does it benefit him to fake an injury? He doesn’t grow his brand by faking injuries. He’s already shown he will fight with injuries. This guy has probably made tens of millions, maybe close to $100 million over his career. Who is going to offer him enough money to fake an injury? Nobody,” he shared.

McGregor is currently recovering from his ACL surgery and is expected to return in 2027 and have his last UFC fight.
