The Milwaukee Brewers will try to win their first World Series in franchise history when they take the field for Game 4 on Tuesday night. The Tampa Bay Rays will just be trying to live to fight another day.

The last World Series sweep came when the San Francisco Giants won it all in 2012, but historically, teams that lead 3-0 win Game 4 more often than they lose it. One exception came two years ago, when the New York Yankees forced Game 5 before ultimately losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

With Brandon Woodruff coming on to finish the 9th inning for the Brewers, Milwaukee hadn’t announced its Game 4 starter as of early Tuesday morning. The Rays are sending out Griffin Jax, who last worked in the ALCS against Cleveland on Oct. 15.

While it’s a little tough not yet knowing how Milwaukee will approach the context from the pitching perspective, here are two player props for what might be the final baseball game of 2026.

Jackson Chourio to hit a home run (+390)

The 22-year-old Jackson Chourio is having a remarkable World Series, going 8-for-14 so far with two RBIs to head into Game 4 as the unofficial frontrunner for World Series MVP.

The only thing missing is a signature moment in the form of a Fall Classic home run.

While the analytics probably don’t support it -- +3xx odds are the lowest given for any player to homer Wednesday -- it’s just one of those outcomes that feels like it makes sense.

Chourio has gone deep twice this postseason, and on Monday night he had his first extra-base hit since the latter round-tripper when his RBI double completed the Brew Crew’s eight-run fifth inning.

And while the Rays are likely to pull out all the bullpen stops at an early juncture to try and limit Chourio and the rest of that talented top of the lineup, Monday’s implosion means there won’t be many truly fresh arms to deploy.

Griffin Jax under 11.5 outs recorded (-128)

Jax pitched a career-high 112 1/3 innings for Tampa Bay this season, with 23 of his 34 outings coming as a starter after he transitioned from a relief role earlier this season.

And while he was sensational down the stretch this regular season, the fact remains he hasn’t worked more than four full innings in more than a month now.

It’s hard to imagine he’ll be given much leash here with the Rays needing a victory, even if the Brewers have already proven capable of solving their bullpen options.

Even if Tampa Bay can grab a lead, the likely scenario here is that Kevin Cash turns to that relief corps -- or maybe even a top-end starter from earlier in the series for a few high-leverage outs -- to try and piece this together.
