The Milwaukee Brewers are one victory away from winning the 2026 World Series. Milwaukee is 10-1 so far this postseason. They lead the World Series over the Tampa Bay Rays 3-0. The Brewers have been nothing short of dominant. Will they receive the attention they deserve for their World Series run, though?
Dan Patrick discussed the subject in a recent segment on the Dan Patrick Show.
“Probably not,” Patrick responded when asked if the Brewers will get the attention they deserve. “They should, but they won't. It just goes along with the territory of who are the big names? We tend to follow that.
“And it's not fair, but that is the current landscape in baseball. The Brewers are a great team.”
The Brewers play in a small-market. They have a passionate fanbase, and the MLB world is certainly paying attention to what the team is accomplishing this postseason. Will Milwaukee get the credit they deserve from a national standpoint, however?
The harsh reality is that Patrick is likely correct. They aren't the Los Angeles Dodgers or New York Yankees. The Brewers may very well complete a World Series sweep on Tuesday. This World Series will be called “boring” by some fans.
Article Continues BelowThe truth is that the Brewers' dominance has been far from boring. They are a fun team to watch play the game of baseball. Real fans of the game are going to give them their credit, but casual fans and non-baseball fans may not pay much attention to them. Some national media also could overlook their greatness.
As Patrick said, “it's not fair.” It is the unfortunate reality, though. Nevertheless, the Brewers should be proud of everything they have accomplished, but they still have one more big game to win.
