The Indianapolis Colts have traded away eight-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, and another veteran could soon be on the move.
With DeForest Buckner also emerging as a potential trade candidate, Indianapolis could continue reshaping its roster ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
Wide receiver Josh Downs is another name to watch, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, who mentioned the Colts pass catcher as a potential trade option. The Kansas City Chiefs could be a team to monitor, as they have reportedly been exploring ways to add help at wide receiver.
"I think the players that could be on the move for the Colts are DeForest Buckner, Josh Downs, and Grover Stewart..

Downs makes sense as a trade candidate given Indianapolis' uncertain direction and his contract situation. The receiver is approaching free agency, giving the Colts a reason to explore the market rather than risk losing him without receiving anything in return.
Article Continues BelowThe 25-year-old has established himself as a reliable weapon in the passing game, and a contender looking for another option could have interest. Kansas City stands out as a potential landing spot, particularly with the Chiefs looking for ways to improve their receiving corps around Patrick Mahomes.
The Colts have other decisions to make, too. Buckner could be next to leave after Nelson's departure, while running back Jonathan Taylor presents a more difficult question. Taylor remains a proven offensive centerpiece, and trading him would mean parting with one of the team's most productive players. Indianapolis would need a strong offer to justify that move.
Veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen is another potential trade option. Unlike Downs, Allen is in the later stages of his career, making him a candidate for a contender seeking an experienced pass catcher. Moving Allen could also give Indianapolis another opportunity to acquire draft capital while prioritizing younger players.
