After taking months to get confirmed, the status of Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua, scheduled for late 2026 is again in danger. While previously rumored to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the fight venue was later confirmed as Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Scheduled to take place on Dec. 11, 2026, the fight has now received some bad news. Just weeks before the clash, boxing legend Frank Bruno raised concerns over a potential injury to Tyson Fury.

According to Frank Bruno, Fury may be nursing an injury ahead of the highly anticipated Heavyweight clash, and might also potentially withdraw from the fight. During a recent appearance on Fight Your Corner, in partnership with Midnite, Bruno and former cruiserweight Tony Bellew opened up about the Fury vs. Joshua fight.

“I looked at him the other day, and I think someone was talking to me in the gym that he's got some injury, which may stop him from going into the fight with Anthony Joshua? And having that on your head ain't nice,” Bruno said.

However, Bellew believes that Fury was playing up to the camera and is a master of mind games. “He plays up to the camera, Frank. I think he wants to, you know, he's going to be saying certain things. I do think Tyson Fury is the master of the mind games. Yeah, he's very, very good at it. Very, very good at the mind games,” Bellew said.
