For weeks, there were rumors and speculation about WWE Crown Jewel's status in Saudi Arabia after the airport attack in Riyadh. However, just days before the PLE, WWE announced that instead of scrapping the PLE, they would move the event indoors. While the deal is sealed for Crown Jewel 2026, the promotion is also in line to host WrestleMania 43 next year in Saudi Arabia.

Recently, at the 2026 TKO Earnings call Q&A, TKO Group Holdings President Mark Shapiro opened up about the status of WWE WrestleMania 43 being in Saudi Arabia in April 2027.

Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Shapiro was questioned about the possibility of the event being cancelled or relocated. Shapiro mentioned that they have received half of the payment from their partners. Shapiro also claimed that there will be extremely minimal risk for the promotion in KSA for WrestleMania 43.

“I would tell you that the risk is extremely minimal. I think we’ve endured the tough climb thus far this year. We’ve had no events interrupted. We’ve staged all of our events in the Middle East flawlessly. We have three events left this year. One being November 7th with Crown Jewel which should be a big one for us,” he shared.

“Who knows what’s real and what’s true, or just proceeding forward with our partners as if these events will go off without a hitch, and I would just add for those of you that are concerned about if this extends further, does this put WrestleMania which is in Saudi next year at risk, I would just tell you it’s at no more risk than it ever was, given that the world is an unpredictable place. But we have already been paid half upfront and received the funds from our partners in Saudi, and if and when our event ever had to be moved because it would never be cancelled, we will certainly and definitely see payment on the other half so come rain or shine, we’re getting the other half payment,” Shapiro added. However, he did mention that there are cities in the USA that are waiting to potentially fill in as hosts if the event gets canceled. As of now, no official date has been announced for WWE WrestleMania 43.
