A few months ago, WWE NXT Superstar and former champion Thea Hail opened up in detail about her ongoing battle with alopecia. Hail shared the news on her social media along with a morphed bald image of herself.
In the months that followed, Hail's alopecia has kept growing at a concerning rate. While her fellow NXT wrestlers have continued to share their love and support, Hail has also been very open about it on her social media. In Sept. 2026, Hail shared a video on her YouTube, where she addressed it.
“Fun fact, I have alopecia right now. I’m balding. It’s like my favorite thing to talk about. So, his name is Harold. That’s my bald spot. He is growing a lot right now, like at a concerning rate,” Hail said. “Yes, I’m losing my hair. Just in that one little spot, he just keeps growing.”
Now, weeks later, Hail shared another video on Instagram, where she revealed a more in-depth look at her alopecia. Hail now has several big bald spots on her head, with her existing ones continuing to grow.
Hail revealed multiple spots on her scalp where hair has thinned, one of which is noticeably bigger than the rest. Despite this, the NXT Superstar has remained positive. Hail continued to add humor to her video by joking and naming all of her bald spots. While she filmed the video, a few more hairs fell out.
Hail, 21, signed with WWE in 2022 and has established herself as one of the most popular names on the NXT roster. A former NXT Women's North American Champion, Hail's most recent match dates back to Oct. 2026, where she competed in a Women’s Battle Royal on WWE NXT that was won by Wren Sinclair.
