Almost eight years after parting ways with WWE, former Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore might be back with the promotion. Once in a tag team with Big Cass, the duo later parted ways and began their singles career, before the promotion released both of them.

While Big Cass returned to WWE early this year after a run in AEW, there were no updates on Enzo Amore's status. Now, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider's report, people backstage in WWE believe that Amore has signed a new deal with the promotion in the last week. It was also reported that he could be heading toward WWE NXT.

Last month, in Oct. 2026, WrestleVotes also reported that there was an insider feeling in WWE creative that the audience was waiting for Amore, which was hampering their creative plans with Big Cass. Dave Meltzer also claimed recently that Enzo Amore going to WWE NXT was almost a done deal.

Enzo Amore is a former WWE Superstar and was part of the promotion from 2012 to 2018. He was released by WWE in Jan. 2018, after allegations of sexual assault emerged. Later that year, the police dropped the investigation due to insufficient evidence. However, Amore's controversies continued as in that very year, he attended the Survivor Series PLE, where he stood on his seat and caused disruption. Enzo Amore was later removed from the venue and banned from attending future events at the Staples Center.

Since leaving WWE in 2018, Enzo has competed for several promotions, including TNA and MLW, and generally goes by nZo and Real1. As of now, there are no confirmed updates on whether WWE would like to pair Enzo and Big Cass again.
