Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper said he knew he needed to deliver after a seventh-inning defensive misplay nearly helped end his team’s season Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves.
With Game 2 tied 1-1, Drake Baldwin’s fly ball to right glanced off Harper’s glove and was scored a double, allowing Sean Murphy to score the go-ahead run. Matt Olson’s sacrifice fly later made it 3-1. Phillies chief video editor Cam shared Harper’s postgame interview with NBC Sports on X, formerly Twitter, after Philadelphia rallied for a 4-3, 10-inning win at Truist Park.
“Yeah, I got to come up big, right? Obviously, you know, ball in right field. Probably should have been caught, obviously. So I got to come through for my team right there”
