The Houston Astros are not going away quietly!

After trailing 4-0 in Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series in Houston, the Astros have stormed back to bring the score within one run. Astros superstar Jose Altuve smashed a solo home run to left field, for the third solo home run of the game.

This home run was important for the longtime second baseman because he is now just one behind the all-time playoff record, owned by Manny Ramirez. Sarah Langs provided the numbers after Altuve launched his 28th career postseason home run.

Most career postseason home runs:

Manny Ramírez: 29
Jose Altuve: 28

Altuve's career will never be forgotten; for good and for worse. He is without a doubt the best Astros player of all time, but his name will always be remembered for the cheating scandal. Whether fans ever give Altuve the respect he earns will remain a mystery.

For now, the goal is to survive one more day, but it will not be easy.

Altuve had a chance with the bases loaded in his next at-bat, but flew out to right field. The Astros had a real opportunity to tie the game or take the lead. To make matters worse, the White Sox scored another three runs in the following inning after Chase Meidroth sent one out to give Chicago a 7-3 lead.

The Astros may need a miracle to come back from this deficit, but the good news is that both Altuve and future AL MVP Yordan Alvarez will have another at-bat to try and keep the season alive.
