Coach Jeff Brohm's Louisville Cardinals welcomed Mike Norvell's Florida State Seminoles with hopes of improving to 3-3 on the season amid a Lincoln Kienholz injury update. Norvell remained on the hot seat as Jimbo Fisher buzz intensified and Brohm's team got an update on star running back Keyjuan Brown.

Pete Nakos of On3 broke the news as the Cardinals' talent runner was absent from the game.

“Leading Louisville RB Keyjuan Brown is out tonight against Florida State,” Nakos shared.

Keyjuan Brown led Brohm's team in rushing with 38 carries for 367 yards, a staggering 9.7 yards per carry average heading into the game. The Cardinals boast depth in the backfield, however, as Isaac Brown is right behind his teammate with 57 carries for 322 yards on the season, good for an average of 5.6 yards per carry.

The Cardinals had lost two straight games to Wake Forest and NC State heading into their matchup with Norvell's Seminoles, with Brohm tasked to rally the troops. Blame was assigned for the Wake Forest loss as fans wondered how their team would perform against a high profile opponent.

Florida State jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a seven-yard scramble from Ashton Daniels. Meanwhile, Kienholz was healthy enough to play and started the game out on the right foot with a seven-yard pass. The former Ohio State transfer Kienholz also showed off his rushing skills with an 11-yard carry as the game continued in Louisville.

Missing Keyjuan Brown is a huge loss not just for Cardinals fans, but for college football fans in general. He is as good as it gets in Division-I football so far this season and will likely continue to put on a show after he gets fully healthy again.
