Coach John Harbaugh's New York Giants will head to Washington amid Cam Skattebo injury questions to take on the Commanders in Week 5 game with major division title implications. Malik Nabers and Andrew Thomas got injury updates as rookie linebacker Arvell Reese caught the attention of ESPN's Mina Kimes.
Kimes hinted that Reese's rapid improvement is bad news for opposing teams this season and beyond.
“From the jump his athleticism has leapt off of the screen, the violence with which he takes on blocks, the explosiveness with which he triggers downhill, size, speed ranginess, he's got it all. What's starting to click into place and you really saw it the last game, some of the nuances of playing the linebacker position. His drops into zone coverage, his recognition of routes as well as run-pass.
“He is getting better and better at a speed that should frankly terrify opponents given his physical tools, he is going to be…Really a force to be reckoned with in this league.”

So far he has not disappointed with coach Harbaugh's team and appears to be developing into one of the NFL's best young defenders. Reese has 26 tackles and an interception so far this season and has made a big impact on a rapidly growing New York team.
The Giants aren't fully healthy by a longshot, recently losing a special teamer to injury. Reese has the kind of size, durability and strength that should keep him on the field for a long time, as the Giants continue their quest for a return to the Super Bowl.
