The New York Rangers are having a nice start to the 2026-27 NHL season. One major reason for this is goaltender Igor Shesterkin. The Rangers netminder has been electric in the early going. Unfortunately, there is concern that he has suffered a major injury.

Shesterkin and his New York teammates are taking on the Washington Capitals. During Washington power play, the star netminder went down in his net and appeared in pain. He was helped off the ice, with Shesterkin appearing to put no weight on one of his legs.
