Some believe longtime fans like Spike Lee deserve a championship ring, but fellow New York Knicks superfan Chris Rock demands one.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rock spoke about his desire to have a championship ring following the Knicks' title — their first in 53 years. He has witnessed all three of the franchise's NBA Finals wins, though the last one was when he was eight years old. Rock was on one of the floats at the championship parade this summer, and he felt he was part of the win.

“I did win the championship — I contributed so much. There were at least three guys on the bench who did not do as much as I did!” he exclaimed with a laugh. “I deserve a ring, to tell you the truth. I deserve a ring, I deserve a necklace.”
Fallon then held up a picture of Rock at eight when the Knicks last won a championship. The comedian quipped that his younger self “had no clue how good it was gonna get.”
It's unlikely Rock will get a ring, or that he actually wants one. However, we'll find out when the Knicks host their season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Thousands of fans will be in attendance for the championship banner being raised.
