The Alabama football program is just hours away from kicking off a big game on Saturday evening at home vs the Georgia Bulldogs. The Crimson Tide are looking to exact revenge after the Bulldogs routed them in last year's SEC Championship Game.

Despite that loss, Kalen DeBoer still has a winning record against Georgia overall during his Alabama tenure, and recently, ESPN's College Gameday pointed out on X, formerly Twitter, that “Kalen DeBoer is 7-1 in games coached against Steve Sarkisian, Dan Lanning and Kirby Smart.”

It's certainly a good indicator of DeBoer's success against the toughest competition, dating back to his days with the Washington Huskies, where he knocked off both Lanning's Oregon Ducks and Sarkisian's Texas Longhorns en route to the national championship, which he lost before taking the Alabama job.

Meanwhile, Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart is still looking to shake his reputation of coming up short against the Crimson Tide throughout his career, having a lopsided record despite the Bulldogs' triumph last December in Atlanta. Neither Georgia nor Alabama has faced a ton of adversity up to this point in the season, with the Bulldogs humming along on the strength of their elite defense, while Alabama has seen quarterback Keelon Russell evolve into a potential Heisman candidate at this early juncture of the season.

While the season won't be over for the loser, whoever wins Saturday's clash of the titans will certainly be earning a big resume boost.

In any case, kickoff between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide is slated for 7:30 pm ET from Tuscaloosa.
