The Golden State Warriors recently got their preseason underway as they prepare for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign. Fans aren't exactly brimming with enthusiasm amid reports about Kristaps Porzingis' failing health and visual evidence of Draymond Green arriving at training camp out of shape.

Still, that criticism isn't stopping Green himself from weighing in on other controversies around the league, including the fact that Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James is evidently commuting to the City of Brotherly Love from New York for practices and games instead of just living there.

“Let that man fly in peace. Like, y’all recording this man every time he take off and land and he’s landing in the city and landing, leaving like, let that man fly in peace,” said Green, per The Draymond Green Show on X, formerly Twitter.

Green has never been shy about going to bat for James over the last several years, as the pair has developed one of the most high-profile friendships in the league today.

76ers aren't thrilled about the prospect of their team's biggest-name player not even wanting to live in the city he plays in, but as long as he shows up during business hours and produces at a high level, the complaints will likely be kept to a minimum.

Meanwhile, Green and the Warriors aren't expected to do much in the upcoming season, as the team opted to trot back virtually the exact same lineup that won 37 games a year ago, save for the addition of rookie Yaxel Lendeborg out of Michigan.

In any case, the Warriors are slated to kick off their regular season on October 21 on the road vs James' former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
