Dallas Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has allowed just two receptions this season, but even that limited production from opposing receivers is enough to frustrate the young defensive back.

Porter knows exactly how many catches he has surrendered, and he is not satisfied with the number. As Jon Machota reported, the Cowboys cornerback remains upset about the two completions, both of which he described as short five-yard outs.

“Two little 5-yard outs or whatever. I'm pissed about it,” Porter said. “As a DB, you never want to give up anything. I really hold myself to a high standard when I'm on the field. I definitely don't want to give up any passes to anybody I don't think I should be giving up passes to.”

That mindset reflects the expectations Porter has established for himself in coverage. While allowing only two receptions is an impressive mark, he is focused on the plays he could have prevented rather than celebrating what he has accomplished.

Porter also explained that he enjoys the challenge of facing quarterbacks willing to test him. Although shutting down a receiver to the point that the quarterback avoids throwing his way can be rewarding, Porter appreciates opportunities to make plays when opponents target him.

“It's both. I enjoy when I get games where they try me like the Packers game. I had fun because I got a lot of targets. I don't really get that often,” Porter said. “So when you're in the kitchen and in the fire like that, it's kind of fun to show off your talents.”

Porter Jr. doesn't seem to be the only one in the building ‘pissed off.' Brian Schottenheimer doesn't seem thrilled with how the season is going.
