The New England Patriots are currently gearing up for Sunday's game on the road against the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots are looking to bounce back after a tough loss on the road vs the Chicago Bears last week on Thursday Night Football.
On Thursday, the team got a concerning injury update regarding star wide receiver AJ Brown.
“No sign of WR A.J. Brown at practice,” reported Mark Reiss of ESPN NFL Nation on X, formerly Twitter.
Earlier in the day, Reiss had noted that he was “Curious to see how much WR A.J. Brown (ankle/knee) does at practice today after not seeing him during the open locker-room period, which is a change in routine. Brown has been listed as a limited participant in practices since his return from IR. The knee injury listed Wednesday was a new development.”
Brown only recently returned from his stint on the IR due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, and he has not exactly distinguished himself since getting back into the lineup, recording some crucial drops and mishaps, particularly in the Patriots' recent home win vs the New York Jets.
Article Continues BelowIn theory, missing the Dolphins game would probably be the best game for Brown to have to sit out, considering the opponent, although Miami did recently pick up its first win of the season vs New York over the weekend.
In any case, the Patriots and Dolphins are slated to kick things off on Sunday at 4:25 pm ET from Miami.
