With the Las Vegas Raiders preparing to face the New York Jets on Sunday, the team is looking for its offense to receive a boost in the running game led by star running back Ashton Jeanty. As the Raiders try to snap a four-game losing streak, Jeanty has a confident take on the Jets matchup, even calling out some of the defensive players on the opposition.

It has been a frustrating season thus far for Jeanty, averaging 3.1 yards per carry and recording 328 yards with one touchdown, though he thinks Sunday will be the time when Las Vegas “can definitely get the run game going.” Plus, Jeanty would say that there are a “couple of guys that don't really want to tackle” on New York, though he won't say who.

“I think we can definitely get the run game going, get back on track, and just really get after these guys. Couple of guys out there that don’t really want to tackle, but I’m not going to say names,” Jeanty said, via NBC Sports.

“I think the main thing is we’ve just to stick together. You lose games, everybody starts questioning things,” Jeanty continued. “Most importantly, not pointing fingers. Everybody has to work together. It’s a team sport.”

The Jets respond to Raiders' Ashton Jeanty

The Raiders are 31st in the league in rushing yards per game with 74.7, which needs to improve against a Jets defense that let go of 103 yards to Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon. For head coach Klint Kubiak, the lack of running efficiency is a team issue.

“It's a team thing,” Kubiak said, via the team's website. “We can all do things better – running backs, fullbacks, offensive line. It's a team thing. We're definitely focusing on different things with each player, but we can all improve.”

Jeanty's comments didn't go unnoticed as New York defensive coordinator Brian Duker responded with few words, having confidence in his unit.

“I've got plenty of confidence in our guys,” Duke said, via SNY Jets.
