At the beginning of this month, the airport attacks in Riyadh turned into a major concern, sparking doubts about the security of the nation's airport and airspace. Following the Houthi group in Yemen taking responsibility for the attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, doubts arose about the status of WWE Crown Jewel.

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is set to take place on Nov. 7, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The U.S. State Department has issued a security alert and ordered nonessential diplomatic personnel and their family members to leave Saudi Arabia. But despite all of this, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel recently addressed Crown Jewel, taking place next month in Riyadh.

While WWE Crown Jewel is set to take place on Nov. 7, 2026, Dana White's Power Slap is set for an event in Saudi Arabia on Nov. 6, 2026. Ariel Helwani recently stated that he was told that the Power Slap production staff will fly into Bahrain and take a five-hour bus ride to Riyadh. According to Helwani, as of now, these are the plans until anything further changes.

With Power Slap confirmed to be taking place there, there is still confusion about WWE's Crown Jewel status. Fightful Select recently reported that the event is still planned for Saudi Arabia.

“WWE Crown Jewel remains planned for Saudi Arabia despite ongoing travel and security concerns, [Fightful Select] has learned. Sources onsite that we spoke to claimed that the situation was “nowhere near as bad as the media makes it out to be,” but WWE talent and staff we’ve spoken to are reasonably concerned,” Fightful Select reported.
