The Washington Commanders will hopefully be getting Jayden Daniels back in Week 5 against the New York Giants, but it seems to depend on his week in practice. It looks like he's off to a good start, and offensive coordinator David Blough was asked if there would be any limitations to the game plan with Daniels returning.

“He's full go,” Blough said via ESPN's John Keim.

That has to be the most encouraging news for the Commanders, and it looks like the offense is getting a huge boost with their quarterback returning to the fold.

It was a rough Week 4 for the Commanders at the quarterback position; Marcus Mariota went down with a right knee injury against the Indianapolis Colts and didn't play in the second half. Athan Kaliakmanis came in for him and completed 15 of 33 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

It's uncertain when Mariota will return, but it may not matter at this point if Daniels is back. He's missed the past two weeks with an elbow injury, but he's done everything he can to get back on the field.

The Commanders definitely missed his dual-threat ability, and it gives opposing defenses a lot to think about when they're going against him.

With the team currently 1-3 and in last place in the NFC East, Daniels returned at the right time before things could've gotten out of hand. Now, the hope is that Daniels has his top two receivers, as Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs missed the first day of practice with injuries.

Last season, it was the injuries that hurt the Commanders, and it looks like they're having a repeat of that this season.
