Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. features the ceiling of one of the best players in the entire sport of baseball. However, his recent postseason performance has been underwhelming to say the least. According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Acuna has a lackluster .474 OPS in the postseason since 2023. He also has not recorded a postseason RBI since 2020.

Braves fans booed Acuna during the team's season-ending 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series on Wednesday. Atlanta needed Acuna to step up and lead the offense, but he was unable to rise to the occasion. The 28-year-old ultimately finished the 2026 postseason with a .125 batting average and .425 OPS.

Acuna was limited to 107 games played during the regular season. He still managed to record respectable numbers — albeit numbers that are far below his expectations. The outfielder turned in a .796 OPS with 20 home runs and 21 stolen bases.

Acuna and the Braves will now prepare for the offseason following another early playoff exit. Meanwhile, the Dodgers will play the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, which is set to begin on Sunday.
