It has been a difficult season for Colorado football. They are 2-5 this season, as Colorado has been plagued by inconsistent quarterback play. Julian Lewis started the year as the starting quarterback, but has since been benched.
Now, Lewis is going to be out of the lineup, per a statement his father, T. Carlton Lewis, released on Wednesday.
“Yesterday, Julian experienced a medical emergency at the University of Colorado athletic facility and was promptly transported to the hospital. He is recovering and thankful to his medical team, teammates, and Colorado fans for their prayers and support. Please respect Julian and the Lewis family’s privacy. We will have no further comment at this time,” the statement read.
This is a developing story with more to come.
