The Indianapolis Colts are currently in the early stages of what could be a trade deadline fire sale this season. The Colts have already dealt offensive lineman Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers, with rumblings emerging that more moves could be on the horizon.
The most obvious candidate to be moved next would be star running back Jonathan Taylor, who was recently asked point-blank about what he's hearing on that front.
“I haven't heard anything, and I can't control that. You guys know that I'm always proud to wear the horseshoe, proud to be here… obviously, circumstances may cause otherwise,” he said, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.
Taylor is one of the few Colts players performing at an elite level so far this year, and it's highly likely that plenty of teams would be interested in acquiring him, should the Colts make him available for a trade.
The team's trades of Nelson and Bucker have already signaled that they are essentially waving the white flag on this season amid their ugly 2-5 start, and many believe that a Taylor trade would be the next logical domino to fall if they are intent on acquiring as many future assets as possible in exchange for the veteran talent in their locker room.

The Colts will next hit the field on Sunday for a tough road game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1:00 pm ET.
