The Cleveland Browns are feeling themselves headed into Week 8. Cleveland is playing surprisingly well, earning a 5-2 record in Todd Monken's first year as head coach. One Browns player is not afraid to do some trash talk ahead of this weekend's AFC North showdown with the Steelers.

Browns edge rusher Jared Verse made his response to Cam Heyward when talking to reporters on Thursday.

“Same as always up there, I'm just going in there ready to dominate,” Verse said, per Browns reporter Scott Petrak. “Obviously I've been waiting for this one for a good little bit but, you know, the whole bulletin board material and things like that. I'm just ready to go and put some hands on today, something like that.”

Heyward did not like Verse's trash talk after the two teams played in Week 4. He pushed back on the idea that Pittsburgh played dirty against Cleveland.

When asked what the Steelers did to merit him calling them “dirty” Verse went silent and looked the other way, per Petrak.

Verse did not practice on Wednesday because of swelling in his knee, per Chris Easterling. Fortunately, he was able to practice on Thursday in preparation for this weekend's huge divisional matchup.

He made it clear that he's not worried about any Steelers player ahead of this weekend's rivalry game.

“I'm not worried about their o-line, I'm not worried about anybody they got on they team. We out there to go dominate, we're about to make Pittsburgh ours on Sunday,” Verse added.

All of the smack talk between the two teams should result in a game that is very exciting for fans to watch. It may also include some chippiness between the two AFC North rivals.

Browns at Steelers kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 1 from Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.
