Week 8 starts with a fun NFC showdown between the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers, and then kind of tails off from there. With just two home dog this week, there could be a lot of chalk on Sunday and Monday, but we know that just when you think the NFL is going to be predictable, they flip the script on you. So, with further ado, let’s jump right into the ClutchPoints NFL Week 8 picks, predictions, and odds column.

Despite the uniform home spreads and only two numbers outside one score, there are some incredibly intriguing games on this week’s slate. The Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos are all games with huge stakes.

And the most interesting matchup with early NFL trade deadline participants is Monday night when Jeffery Simmons and the Chicago Bears take on Quenton Nelson and the Seattle Seahawks. This will be an indicator of how blockbuster trades could shake up the league over the next week and a half.

As we look at the Week 8 calendar, we welcome back the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders, and say farewell to the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers until Week 9.

For the NFL Week 8 slate, with no international games, we start with a Thursday nighter, followed up by eight early-window Sunday games, just three late-window showdowns, a Sunday night tilt, and a standalone Monday night affair.

The ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column had another winning weekend, posting a 9-5 record straight up and an 8-5-1 mark ATS. That brings us to 64-43 (59.8%) straight up and puts us over the hum of Mount .500 at 52-51-4 (50.4%) ATS thus far.

So, let’s get right into the NFL Week 8 picks, predictions, and odds.

Courtesy of DraftKings, here are the NFL odds.

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (-3.5)

We’re back for another week of picking against the public in prime time games! This system has been excellent for the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column for the better part of this season, and this week, it says to go with the Panthers, but just barely. The Packers are favored by just over 50% of the public on Thursday.

The other trend here is that the Panthers are 13-0 in their last 13 games ATS. This obviously won’t go on forever, but as long as Carolina is rolling and the public doesn’t love them in this Thursday Night Football matchup, we’ll take the Cats.

Pick: Panthers 28-27

Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals (-11.5)

The Titans’ fire sale may have just started with the Jeffery Simmons trade, so it is easy to think that this game is going to be a walk for Joe Burrow and the Bengals. However, despite the spread suggesting a blowout—or actually because of it—it makes more sense to take the Titans to at least cover here.

Favorites of six points or more are 22-10 straight up but only 8-21-3 ATS in 2026. We know the Bengals love to play down to the level of competition, too, so this starts to make even more sense. We aren’t brave enough to pick the outright upset here, but we will take the points.

Pick: Bengals 21-14

Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills (-3)

The Ravens are a tough team to handicap right now, as we still have no real idea whether Lamar Jackson will play or not. The superstar quarterback looked like he would be active last week, but was a Saturday scratch out of the blue. With no Lamar, this should be a Bills rout.

Even with Lamar, though, Buffalo is coming off of a bye and has had plenty of time to prepare for either Ravens QB. Plus, Josh Allen and company have the distinct rest advantage here, and teams with that leg up have been winning at a pace not seen since the mid-1990s.

Pick: Bills 35-28

Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-7)

The Cowboys looked pretty good in their Eagles beatdown on Monday night, but are their defensive problems really fixed? Or did they just play one of the most banged-up teams in the league? The answer is probably a little bit of both with the addition of Joey Porter Jr. and DeMarvion Overshown coming back, but that D is still far from elite.

Dallas is the better team here, but Arizona proved it can be a frisky team at times. Plus, with the NFL trade deadline incoming, there may be several Cardinals looking to put out some good tape for other teams. We’ll take the Cowboys here to win, but not to cover.

Pick: Cowboys 31-27

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)

Cleveland has done horribly in Pittsburgh recently, with a 1-21 overall record and a 7-16 mark ATS. This is a new Browns team to be sure, and Mike Tomlin is no longer around, but some things in the NFL don’t change all that much, no matter who is involved. So, while the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column like the 2026 Browns, this is not their week.

Aaron Rodgers is quietly having a solid season, and the Steelers defense is taking care of business as usual. The last matchup between these two teams ended in a three-point Browns victory in Cleveland. Since then, the Browns have been squeaking out wins, but haven’t been overly impressive, so we’ll take the home team and give the points.

Pick: Steelers 16-10

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (-10)

The nugget about six-plus-point favorites applies here, but so does the team with more rest theory, and those two ideas are directly contradictory. The Colts did cover with a fired GM bump last week, but the purging of talent is now officially on.

With the Jaguars coming off a bye and the Colts reeling from the departures of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner (with more likely to come), the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column can see this one getting out of hand fast, so we’ll give the points.

Pick: Jaguars 24-12

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-3)

How long can the Vikings stay undefeated? History tells us not much longer. Undefeated teams as underdogs this late in the season have not fared well, so that seems to indicate that this could be a tough spot for the Vikings. Plus, this is a division game, on the road, against a team that isn’t scared of Brian Flores’ defense.

There is, of course, a path to a 7-0 record for the Vikings on Sunday, but that would likely mean that Kyer Murray has the best game of his season. With the way the Lions are playing of late, this should be a close game, but we give Detroit the edge. This could totally end as a push, so we wish the line was 2.5 here, but we’ll roll with the home team anyway.

Pick: Lions 27-23

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5)

After the Buccaneers’ 43-13 pasting of the Panthers last week, this spread indicates that people think the Bucs may be back. Todd Bowles has never been good coming off blowout wins, though, and the NFC South is a wild week-to-week division.

Yes, there may also be an overreaction to how good the Falcons are right now after taking down the 49ers last week, but when you match up the talent on these two teams, Atlanta simply has a serious advantage. That’s why the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column likes the upset here.

Pick: Falcons 23-21

Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets (-1.5)

The Jets and Raiders started the season with so much promise, but with just one win and seven combined losses in the last four weeks, these two teams have gone south fast. And because of that, there are terrible trends going against both teams right now. Still, one of these teams has to win, right?

Since both these franchises are prone to massive letdowns at seemingly all times, it is hard to predict which team will out-bad the other on Sunday. So, what the ClutchPoints NFL picks, predictions, and odds column is going to do is fade the public. Almost 80% of the public bettors will take the points and choose the Raiders, so we’ll go with the Jets.

Pick: Jets 13-10

Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams (-6.5)

The Chargers are now officially the last NFL team without a win in the 2026 season. Playing against the preseason Super Bowl favorites to change that fact is not easy. These are not the same superteam Rams that came into the campaign, though. The injuries are taking a toll, as is the age of the roster.

Ultimately, the Chargers are coming off a bye, which means they should have figured out at least a few things. We’ll take the away LA team to pull off the upset here in a weird game between two teams that share a home stadium but don’t have tremendous fan bases. And if the Bolts don’t at least cover, they are dead to us the rest of the season.

Pick: Chargers 28-27

Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) at Denver Broncos

The Chiefs’ early-season may have been a little smoke and mirrors and a lot due to an incredibly weak schedule. Yes, they took care of the Broncos at Arrowhead handily in Week 1, but both teams are in a different situation now. The Broncos D is now playing better, and Kenneth Walker III is not going to sneak up on anyone this time.

Taking into account both teams' situations and the record of Bo Nix and the Broncos at home as opposed to away from Mile High, we like Denver to pull off the upset here, straight up. This will likely be a close game, so if the Broncos were favored, we may have balked at that. As a home dog, though, give us Sean Payton.

Pick: Broncos 23-21

New England Patriots (-7) at Miami Dolphins

Drake Maye and the Patriots beat up on lesser teams. It’s just what they do. However, the Dolphins have shown some signs of life in recent weeks, and they are at home facing a division opponent with a touchdown-plus spread.

Once again, we’re not ready to call a massive upset here, but Miami should give New England all it can handle down on South Beach. In a league that is showing more parity than ever, close games have become the norm, and we look into our crystal ball and see another one here.

Pick: Patriots 20-16

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders (-6)

The Eagles are facing a season from hell right now, so it is hard to pick them to win any game. That said, do we really trust the Commanders to take care of business in prime time and give Philly the beatdown it deserves with all the injuries it is facing?

This is a tough one, because we are feeling what the public is putting down right here. They have the Commanders to win on over 80% of money-line tickets, but the Eagles to cover on 51% of ATS wagers. The Eagles are better coached and have more talent, especially on the defensive side. We can see this going either way, but we’ll take Philly to ruin the public ML party.

Pick: Eagles 14-13

Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks (-3)

With the way these two teams are playing right now, it wouldn’t be a total shock if this were a playoff or even an NFC Championship Game preview. Both these team upgraded their teams ahead of the NFL trade deadline, and on Monday night, we’ll get our first looks at how Jeffery Simmons and Quenton Nelson improved their respective teams, as the two interior linemen go head-to-head.

Similarly to the Sunday night game, the public here is on the Bears to cover but the Seahawks to win (via ML). In this game, though, a larger group (60%) is taking the Bears to cover than the Eagles, so we’ll keep fading the public in prime-time games. Plus, Seattle is still an incredibly tough place to play, and on Monday night, that should be a big advantage.

Pick: Seahawks 24-17
