The Chicago Bulls kick things off with their first preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. It's also the coming-out party for Caleb Wilson, the rookie sensation expected to carry the Bulls back from the brink.
Before tip-off, Wilson took time out to post a simple message on social media. A message that will surely thrill fans.
“Blessed Beyond Measure… Start of a new journey tonight!” Wilson posted on X, formerly Twitter.
In June, Wilson was selected as the No.4 pick in the NBA Draft out of North Carolina. It was a major win for the Bulls, especially given their shock at landing a top-5 pick in the NBA Draft Lottery in May.
Wilson is very much the face of the organization, even before playing an official NBA game. The reason is obvious. He is seen as the player who helped engineer a new era of Bulls basketball after nearly a decade of the same thing.
Wilson brings a vast array of versatility, poise, explosiveness, and maturity beyond his years to the floor.
Since joining the Bulls, Wilson has been front and center. He is coming off an award-winning NBA Summer League performance and has been out and about in the city.
Recently, Wilson attended a Cubs game with Buzelis and Bears QB Caleb Williams, cheering on Pete Crow-Armstrong at Wrigley Field.
Now it is Wilson's turn to let his talent shine and set the stage for a season in which he can hopefully emerge as the next best thing in Chicago.
