Dillon Gabriel has returned to practice for the Browns after being placed on injured reserve with a back issue in late August.

But Cleveland isn’t feeling urgency to get Gabriel back on the 53-man roster, with head coach Todd Monken citing the three-week timeline the team now has to “see where we’re at.”

“Get him out there, practice, see where he’s at with his back, and get the reps that we can get,” Monken said in his press conference. “A lot of that will be on the look squad, or it’ll be individual. But I look forward to seeing him back out there.”

The Browns have starter Deshaun Watson, backup Shedeur Sanders, and rookie Taylen Green currently on their active roster. How does Monken feel about potentially carrying four QBs?

“I don’t have to feel anything at this point,” Monken said. “We still have three weeks.”

Gabriel started six games as a rookie last year with 10 total appearances. He completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 937 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions.
