On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers will look to turn out the lights on the Atlanta Braves when the two teams hit the field for Game 4 of their NLDS matchup. The Dodgers climbed back into the driver's seat in this series on Tuesday in a Game 3 win thanks to an epic performance from pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
It's been a relatively quiet postseason thus far for Dodgers leadoff hitter Mookie Betts, but perhaps a personal milestone on Wednesday could help change that.
“Today is Mookie Betts’ birthday. Birthdays are important. This will be the fourth time he plays a postseason game on his birthday, most in MLB history,” reported Sarah Langs of the MLB on X, formerly Twitter.
Indeed, having a birthday in October means that Betts is no stranger to playing postseason baseball on the special occasion. He turns 34 years old on Wednesday, and has looked like an aging star for most of the series so far against the Braves, not making much happen at the plate.
However, on Wednesday, the Dodgers found a way to get to Braves ace Chris Sale thanks to two straight homers, the second of which was launched by former Atlanta star Freddie Freeman, to put three runs on the board, which was all they needed to get the comfortable win.

In any case, Game 4 of Braves vs Dodgers is set to get underway on Wednesday at 6:00 pm ET from Atlanta.
