The Raiders are getting one of their young offensive players back on the field.
Head coach Klint Kubiak told reporters in his Wednesday press conference that receiver Dont’e Thornton’s 21-day practice window is being opened.
Thornton was placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue that popped up early on in training camp.
Via Ryan McFadden of ESPN, Thornton said on Wednesday that he feels “ready to play” and feels “overly confident” in his return to practice.
Thornton caught 10 passes for 135 yards in 15 games as a rookie last season.
Additionally, Kubiak noted Jackson Power-Johnson will practice while Jalen Nailor will not.
