The Milwaukee Brewers lead the World Series 3-0 over the Tampa Bay Rays. It has been an incredible run for the Brewers to say the least. The ball club has lost just one total game this postseason. The team's dominance has Anthony Rizzo and David Ross — who won the World Series in 2016 with the Chicago Cubs — gushing over their performance.
“Is this year's Brewers' playoff run one of the greatest playoff runs of all-time? They're 10-1 in the playoffs so far,” Rizzo said, via Ross and Rizzo Unfiltered. “If they win tomorrow (Tuesday's Game 4), and they go 11-1 in the playoffs to win the World Series, there's only two other teams to do that. The '05 White Sox and the '99 Yankees. One more nugget, they've lost one game in the last 34 days.”
What the Brewers are doing is historic. Some have called this year's World Series boring, but Milwaukee's dominance should be appreciated rather than dismissed. The Brewers' journey through the postseason hasn't been easy.
It began in the National League Division Series against a San Diego Padres ball club that entered the MLB playoffs with momentum. The Padres are the only team to earn a win against the Brewers in the postseason so far, but Milwaukee ultimately emerged victorious from the series.
Milwaukee then had to play the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The Brewers embarrassed the Dodgers and cruised to a National League Championship Series sweep. It was a shocking development. The Dodgers simply looked outmatched.
The Brewers finished the regular season with 103 wins, which was the most in baseball. They had to play the Rays in the Fall Classic, who led the American League with 98 victories. It seemed as if Tampa Bay was poised to at least challenge them.

“They are as dominant of a team that I've seen in a long time,” Ross added. “Led the season in wins, and now just rolling through the postseason, losing one game.”
The Brewers will look to clinch their first World Series victory in franchise history in Game 4 on Tuesday night at 8 PM ET.
