The NBA preseason is meant to ramp up for the regular season, but the intensity was on full display over the past couple of weeks. This year's preseason has seen a couple of dustups and heated moments, including Suns forward Dillon Brooks and new Pistons forward John Collins getting into it. While Anthony Edwards didn't get into a physical altercation during the team's preseason matchup against the Detroit Pistons, he had a moment that indicated he wouldn't shy away from that.

Wide the free-throw line. Early in the first quarter, Paul Reed appears to have some choice words for Edwards. Edwards heard Reed and implored him to say it to his face. The incident didn't grow beyond that moment, and the ballplayers ultimately finished the game with the Pistons winning the preseason matchup 128-106.

The moment aligns with what Edwards says is the Timberwolves' new mentality heading into the season. In a recent YouTube video for his “Believe That Awards” in partnership with PrizePicks, he laid out how the team is viewing this new season.

“I ain't really got too much to say. We don't f*ck with y'all. We don't give a f*ck about you. Ain't no buddy-buddy sh*t going on. When y'all see the Timberwolves come in town, y'all need to know they on b*llsh*t. We gonna fight us about you. We with the b*llsh*t on that. Yeah, we on that. I just want y'all to know that what's going on, it's a bunch of b*ll this year. Yeah, get your season tickets. It's going to be turned up this year. If you miss a game, you're missing out. You got the light skin *****, you got the brown skin *****, you got the black *****. What's going on, bro? We can't help it, bro. You got three shades. How you want this?
