The New York Yankees are back in the postseason. However, they may be without Aaron Judge because of a recent right calf strain.

At the same time, rumors of friction between Judge and manager Aaron Boone are circulating. On Friday, Boone's words seemed to convey that friction, according to Gary Phillips of NY Daily News Sports.

Boone said he didn't know what Judge is doing when it comes to any baseball-related matters.

The friction stems from Boone saying Judge was likely to miss the American League Wild Card series because of his right calf strain, which he called a “moderate-grade” strain. However, Judge himself publicly disagreed with that sentiment, per Chris Rosvoglou of The Spun/Yahoo Sports.

He was quoted as saying, “I don't know why he used those words,” Judge said. “Everybody's ‘moderate' is a little different. I think your moderate is a little different than my moderate.”

Judge has been out for much of this season. Beginning in April, Judge was out for 3 months battling a rib stress fracture. On September 8, Judge returned in a series against the Colorado Rockies. However, he was immiedatley placed back onto the injured list due to a right calf strain.

Judge has played in 66 games. He is batting .241 with 57 hits, 18 home runs, 41 RBIs, and 45 runs scored.

The Yankees close out the regular season this weekend against the Baltimore Orioles, starting with a doubleheader on Friday. They will play in the American League Wild Card series beginning Tuesday, Sept.28, likely against the Boston Red Sox.
