Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson made a head-turning comparison between head coach Kevin Stefanski and Martin Luther King Jr. after Thursday night's 35-14 win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Speaking on Prime Video's postgame coverage, Robinson reflected on how Stefanski responded after Atlanta's embarrassing 34-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.
“Last week was a bigger testament to who he is just as a person but as a coach,” Robinson said. “Obviously we lost how we did last week and he went right to the locker room, and I don’t know if he drunk some coffee or something but he said this speech – it was like if Martin Luther King was in there, man. I was like, ‘yo!’.”
Seattle Seahawks legend Richard Sherman jokingly responded, “Wait a minute.”
Robinson then explained the message Stefanski delivered to the team.

“He just brought all the players together and he was saying like, ‘are we going to let this loss define us? Is this who we’re going to be as a team or are we just going to change it right now and try to flip the switch immediately?’”
Bijan Robinson, Falcons offense erupts against Packers
Atlanta responded to Stefanski's challenge with its best offensive performance of the young season.
Robinson led the way with 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, averaging 6.7 yards per attempt. He also caught two passes for 19 yards.
Wide receiver Drake London delivered another huge performance, finishing with nine receptions for 194 yards, including a 68-yard catch.
Michael Penix Jr. also provided a spark in his first appearance of the season after returning from the knee injury he suffered last year. Penix completed 18 of 25 passes for 256 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He finished with a 101.4 passer rating as Atlanta's offense finally found its rhythm.
The victory moved the Falcons to 1-2 and gave Stefanski his first win as Atlanta's head coach.
Atlanta will attempt to carry that momentum into another road matchup when it visits the New Orleans Saints in Week 4 on Monday, Oct. 5, at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
