The Baltimore Orioles are in the middle of taking on the New York Yankees in the first matchup of Friday's doubleheader. Pete Alonso entered the first contest tied with Yordan Alvarez, Junior Caminero, and Ben Rice as the AL home run leaders. However, Alonso just put himself ahead of the pack after going yard in New York.

At the top of the third inning with one man on, 31-year-old slugger smashed a ball toward deep left field. It was a no-doubt two-run blast that gave Baltimore an early 2-0 lead. It was Alonso's 42nd home run in the regular season.
