The 2026-27 NBA season is in full swing. And early on, some teams have impressed, while others have disappointed. After getting their feet wet, it seems like some teams are already looking to make some roster adjustments to prepare for postseason action or to rebuild for the next chapter. As a result, a handful of NBA stars might be changing jerseys soon. For this piece, let's take a look at 25 NBA stars most likely gone by the 2027 NBA trade deadline.

Jrue Holiday

It's safe to say that the Portland Trail Blazers have a lot of guards. With a stacked backcourt of Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, Deni Avdija, and Jrue Holiday, the team can easily round up a security force. As a backup guard, Holiday is averaging 13.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, helping the team race to a solid 6-1 start. However at 36, he isn't getting any younger. His two-way play and championship experience could make him a valuable asset for a championship contender. With a younger Henderson expected to fill that role in the years to come, shipping away the two time All-Star for younger pieces might benefit the Blazers.

Kristaps Porzingis

For quite some time, the Golden State Warriors have been craving for a solid center. As a result during the offseason, they acquired former All-Star Kristaps Porzingis. The Latvian big man was expected to raise the ceiling for a franchise desiring to recapture their golden days by maximizing the window of Stephen Curry. However, Porzingis' POTS condition has prevented him from showing up for Golden State. In fact, the team has been withholding his paychecks, as the front office explores the market for trade options.

Draymond Green

Speaking of the Warriors, another big man who could be moved is four time NBA champion Draymond Green. During their championship runs, Green has been the heart-and-soul for the Warriors. While he signed a one-year deal to return to Golden State earlier this year, Green's expiring deal coupled with Curry's closing window could force the hand of the front office.

Jimmy Butler

Aside from Green and Porzingis, Jimmy Butler is also seen as a potential trade candidate that can boost the Warriors' roster. Last year, the Warriors' title hopes took a hit when Butler went down with an ACL injury that kept him out for the rest of the year. With the six time All-Star expected to miss time coupled with an expiring deal, the Golden State might be tempted to go after some younger and healthier bodies to chase at least one more chip.

Domantas Sabonis

It's no secret that Domantas Sabonis wants out of Sacramento. It doesn't seem like the Lithuanian big man's future no longer aligns with the organization's plans, especially if the team is grooming Maxime Raynaud. The Kings would probably want to maximize everything they can get out of the All-Star big man. Given that several teams are looking to bolster their frontcourt, Sabonis should be an enticing asset for the likes of the Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, and the Charlotte Hornets.

Zach LaVine

Like Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine no longer makes sense in what the Sacramento Kings are trying to do. With the Kings leaning towards their youth coupled with LaVine's expiring contract, a trade involving the two time All-Star could be on the horizon. Although Sacramento didn't get to trade him in the offseason, his assets could be valuable elsewhere. In fact, the Kings' front office are willing to put their hands on deck to find him a new home.

Zion Williamson

Speaking of big men, another high profile big man that could be on the move is New Orleans Pelicans' former first overall pick, Zion Williamson. The burly forward, when healthy, is as great as advertised. However, his availability has always been a question mark, throughout his career. And with his incompatible pairing with Derik Queen, the Pelicans might finally convince themselves to fully move on.

Norman Powell

Norman Powell is coming off a breakout 2025-26 season that saw him earn his first All-Star Game selection. Although he has been a clear silver lining for the Chicago Bulls, the team is going nowhere. In fact, as early as the start of the 2026-27 season, the Bulls are already open to taking offers for the former NBA champion.

Kyrie Irving

After drafting Cooper Flagg with the first overall pick at the 2025 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks have been fully invested in making him their franchise cornerstone. However, this makes a 34-year old Kyrie Irving an interesting piece for the Mavs. The former NBA champion isn't getting younger and his availability is always in question. However, he's still one of the premiere guards in the NBA. As a result, don't be surprised if Dallas finds an offer for Irving that would make it hard to resist.

Bam Adebayo

It hasn't been a smooth start in the South Beach, despite landing Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason. The Miami Heat have started the 2025-26 season with a 3-5 record, and his pairing with Bam Adebayo has been forgettable. Adebayo, who scored 83 points in a game just last season, has been limited to just 16.3 points per game this year. Furthermore, spacing issues have been exposed early on. If Bam continues to be a terrible fit alongside the Greek Freak, the Heat might have to bite the bullet should their biggest acquisition grow unhappy in Miami. The clock is ticking given that Giannis has the option to bolt out of free agency next year.

Andrew Wiggins

In relation to the Miami Heat, Andrew Wiggins hasn't really been a positive factor for the team. The former All-Star forward is putting up just 10.3 points per game. Without much spacing and an expiring contract, Wiggins has been rendered ineffective. If Wiggins doesn't fit the puzzle, perhaps the Heat could use him as a trading chip in exchange for a much more reliable 3-and-D player or as a filler for a potential mega deal.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Miami Heat gutted a huge chunk of their roster just to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason. But if the situation for Giannis continues to be this bad, it's possible that the front office might have to push the panic button and swap Giannis away for some assets. It's not exactly far-fetched given that the Greek Freak is their best shot at replenishing their roster.

Devin Booker

Another NBA star who could be playing for a new team by the trade deadline is Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker. The Suns are having a slow start to their 2026-27 campaign, kicking things off with a 1-5 record. Given that the Suns have been losing relevancy over the years, it won't be surprising if Phoenix decides to blow it all up and let Booker play for a team that can give him more championship chances.

Nikola Jokic

When it comes to championships, there's no question that three time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is looking for another taste of gold. Since winning the 2023 NBA championship, the Serbian star has continued to dominate with the Denver Nuggets. Unfortunately, Denver has never gotten past their Western Conference rivals as of late. To add insult to injury, the Nuggets are starting off with a 4-3 record in the ongoing season. Denver's early struggles could only magnify Jokic's growing impatience.

Jamal Murray

If Nikola Jokic reaches a dangerous point of impatience, the Denver Nuggets might need a way to pull out all the stops to keep their Serbian star within their reach. And their best asset to trade would be no other than his backcourt partner, Jamal Murray. Fresh from his first All-Star season, Murray is scoring well, averaging 27.3 points per outing. His scoring and clutch gene makes him an enticing asset for contenders looking to upgrade their offense.

Karl-Anthony Towns

Fresh from his first NBA championship, Karl-Anthony Towns seems ready to help the New York Knicks defend their championship on the court. However, there have been several question marks behind the scenes. During the offseason, the Knicks and Towns' camp failed to agree on a contract extension. If New York chooses not to pay Towns, having him as a trade asset would certainly attract a lot of suitors. But on the other hand, giving up Towns can potentially be a fatal blow to their back-to-back chances.

Rudy Gobert

The Minnesota Timberwolves' championship campaign just hit a snag early into the 2026-27 season, due to a knee injury to their star, Anthony Edwards. With a huge void in scoring to fill, Minnesota needs to find a way to keep their season afloat. To make matters worse, former Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert is still finding his rhythm. He's currently putting up a measly 7.5 points on just 42.6% shooting. Trading him for a better offensive producer might be the key for Minnesota to survive this stretch without Edwards.

Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis has been bouncing around different NBA teams, since leaving the Los Angeles Lakers. But with the Washington Wizards, Davis has been bolstering his stock. The one time NBA champion has been averaging 23.4 points and 9.3 rebounds on 50% shooting from the field overall. At 33 years old, Davis doesn't fit in the Wizards' overall picture. On the other hand, there are plenty of contenders who covet his services in the frontcourt.

Jarrett Allen

The Cleveland Cavaliers pretty much started their 2026-27 campaign off to a disastrous start. They became the first team to lose a season opener after leading by as much as 20 points at halftime, thanks to LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Cavs are currently still finding their footing, as they currently post a 4-4 record. Although Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have their moments, there are times that the twin-tower combination can backfire, similar to what happened in their past playoff experiences. But among the two centers, Allen's limited skillset makes him a potential player to trade. But despite being limited, the former All-Star center's rim-running abilities is an attractive skillset for contenders looking to beef up their big man rotation.

Fred VanVleet

After a disappointing playoff exit last season, the Houston Rockets are out to improve their finish by setting their sights on a championship. As of this writing, the Rockets are off to a hot start, going 7-2. However, Houston could consider making some upgrades to their roster in order to materialize their championship hopes. As good as a starting point guard Fred VanVleet has been, he's also a valuable trade asset that can be swapped for more established talent. In fact, a swap for a star guard like Kyrie Irving is far from impossible.

Paul George

Paul George made headlines in the offseason, after being a part of a trade that saw him swap teams with Jaylen Brown. As the Boston Celtics prepare to build around Jayson Tatum, bringing PG on board certainly raised some eyebrows due to his age and underwhelming stint with the Philadelphia 76ers. Nonetheless, he has been decent playing alongside Tatum, putting up 21.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. On the other hand, with two years left on his contract, George is also a potential trade piece that will give the Celtics leverage to acquire some difference makers.

De'Aaron Fox

After making the 2026 NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs came closer than ever to adding another banner in their rafters. Unfortunately, the New York Knicks spoiled the party in five games. One of the most disappointing segments of last year's Finals was De'Aaron Fox's poor showing, where averaged just 12.8 points per game in the series. With Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper running the team's backcourt in the present and future, the veteran All-Star guard could instead be used as a trade asset to make upgrades to a hungry Spurs squad.

Brandon Ingram

As part of the Kawhi Leonard trade back to the Toronto Raptors, Brandon Ingram took his talents to the Los Angeles Clippers. The All-Star forward has yet to play this season, and the Los Angeles Clippers have been misfiring. Since the controversial findings about Leonard's endorsement, the Clippers franchise is still reeling from the punishments slapped by the league. As a result, it looks like another forgettable season for the franchise. A fire sale might be the best way to cut their losses, with Ingram as one of their best trade pieces.

Brook Lopez

While the Los Angeles Clippers have been dropping games, Brook Lopez has been a silver lining. Even if he's already at 38 years old, the one time All-Star center is averaging 13.5 points per game. He could also be an attractive big man for teams looking for a backup center. As a result, the Clippers could also use him to trade for younger assets to help them prepare for life after Kawhi Leonard.

Julius Randle

As part of the four-team deal that brought LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves, former Most Improved Player Julius Randle landed in Brooklyn. Unsurprisingly, the Brooklyn Nets are off to another slow start. Furthermore, they just aren't willing to keep Randle around and pay him around $33 million. As a result, the Nets are actively looking for suitors in exchange for the 6-foot-9 forward.
