Arsenal women v Tottenham women prediction
Arsenal are running down rivals Chelsea and Manchester United in the hunt for second place.
The Gunners’ who had shown signs of waning after winning the Champions League (UWCL) last season, have dialed it back up, going on a bit of a tear.
They’re unbeaten in their last six, winning five of those matches to leave themselves just three points shy of second-placed Utd with two games in hand.
Alessia Russo became the highest scoring English player in the UWCL in a single season, with eight goals after her decisive strike in the victory over Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The attacking combination between herself and Stina Blackstenius is beginning to flourish, Russo playing the withdrawn role, allowing her team-mate to create space and run the channels.
Arsenal women haven’t lost a competitive north London derby since 2023. Crucially, never losing a derby on their home turf.
Laia Codina will almost certainly continue to deputise for Leah Williamson in defence, with the England captain still recovering from injury.
Tottenham have so far enjoyed their best season to date, mixing it with the top four and in Champions League contention for a lot of the campaign.
Manager Martin Ho, arrived from Brann and in came a whole host of signings including Signe Gaupset, Ella Morris and Amanda Nilden.
The form of captain and striker Bethany England has had an uptick since Ho came in, so too Olivia Holdt who has six goals and four assists this season.
Spurs got a valiant 0-0 draw at home back in November, when Arsenal were failing to capitalise on those around them dropping points.
However, the Lilywhites now sit in fifth, six points off their local rivals. And will arrive at the Emirates stadium having lost three of their last six league matches.
Arsenal’s attack is now purring again, the away side we’ll need a similar rear-guard action as they showed in November to shut out Renee Slegers side.

Arsenal to win to nil – 11/10 with bet365
Arsenal are flying right now and it took a world class finish, only a player of Lauren James’ ilk could provide that stopped the Gunners from keeping a clean sheet on Tuesday.
Spurs do have Beth England and Tilka Sandberg in attack, but Spurs haven’t scored against Arsena in a competitive fixture in the last four matches.
Slegers’ side should batten down the hatches and allow their forward players to shine.
Over 2.5 goals in the match – 2/5 with Boyle Sports
Arsenal won 5-0 in this fixture at the Emirates stadium last season. While we’ve opted against a higher handicap bet. This would have landed in the last three meetings between the pair.
Although backing the Gunners to win to nil, this bet would open the floor for Spurs to get on the score sheet and the bet still to come in.
The Lilywhites have found the net in their last four matches, so aren’t shot shy.
Bet Builder – Arsenal to win and Mariona Caldentey to score – 9/2 with Tote
This Tote bet builder was hard to ignore, despite Mariona Caldentey’s deeper role in the Arsenal team this season.
The Spanish midfielder has shown she can play in the 10, 8 or even the 6 to great effect in her Arsenal career. Crashing the box for well-timed finishes, scoring crucial penalties and even long-range efforts in her box of tricks.
Caldentey has always been the player for the big occassion, wherever Slegers plays her, she often has an impact.
She netted twice in the 5-0 win last season. Could she do it again?
