Are USMNT playing any games on the East Coast? Full schedule and locations
The US Men’s National Team will contest a World Cup on home soil this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s team will be co-hosting the tournament alongside neighbors Canada and Mexico, with 16 cities across the three countries preparing to welcome the expanded 48-team field — and millions of fans from around the globe.

The 2026 World Cup will kick off on June 11 when Mexico take on South Africa at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, and it will conclude with the final at MetLife Stadium in New York on July 19.
Pochettino and his roster will have dreams of playing in the showpiece, but to get there, would need to negotiate a tough group — and even tougher knockout rounds.
Home support will be vital to any USMNT run this summer, and that begs the question: Which cities and stadiums will the USMNT actually be playing in?
Will USMNT play any World Cup games on the East Coast?
The US have been drawn in Group D for this summer’s World Cup, and will play games against Paraguay, Australia and Turkey, with all games on the West Coast.
Their opening fixture, against Paraguay, will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Friday, June 12 at 9pm ET.
A game against Australia follows, and will be played at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, on Friday, June 19 at 3pm ET.
The USMNT will then return to SoFi Stadium for their final group fixture, against Turkey, on Thursday, June 25 at 10pm ET.
Where could the USMNT play knockout games?
If Pochettino’s team can get through their group and qualify for the knockouts, they will have a chance to play in other cities.
Should the US win Group D, they would head to Santa Clara, California, for a Round of 32 game against a third-place finisher from one of groups B, E, F, I or J.
That game will be played at Levi’s Stadium on Wednesday, July 1.

If the US finish second in their group, they will fall onto the other side of the bracket and play the second-place finisher in Group G, which is made up of Belgium, Egypt, New Zealand and Iran.
That fixture would take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, July 3.
And if the US finishes third, they would face either the winner of Group I, Group E or Group K at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri on the same Friday.
There are, of course, countless possibilities for match-ups and locations as the knockouts roll on.
If the USMNT wins their group and their Round of 32 game, they would face the winner of the tie between Group G’s winner and a third-place finisher from groups A, E, H, I or J in the Last 16.
That game will be played at Lumen Field in Seattle on Monday, July 6.

If the US finishes second in the group and win their first knockout game, they would face the winner of a match between the winner of Group J against the runner up from Group H.
That Last 16 fixture would take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, July 7 — bringing the East Coast into play for the first time.
The teams USMNT could face if they finish third in the group and win in the Round of 32 vary wildly, but would see them head north of the border to BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, on that Tuesday.
If Pochettino’s team manages to reach the quarterfinals from winning their group, they would return to SoFi Stadium for that game on Friday, July 10.

A quarterfinal game, from coming second in the group, would see them play at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, July 11.
Should the US come third in their group but still make the quarters, they would feature as the other team in that fixture in Kansas City.
The semifinals would await beyond that round, and if the USMNT get to the last four, they would play at either AT&T Stadium on Tuesday, July 14, or Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday, July 15.
Should Pochettino’s team beat all the odds, they would play in the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium on July 19.

Where is the USMNT’s World Cup base?
Given all three US group games are on the West Coast, the team will be based in Great Park in Irvine, California, for the World Cup this summer.
They will arrive following a friendly against Germany on June 6, and the location provides an ideal camp for those two matches at SoFi Stadium.
Irvine is also a reasonable distance to Seattle, by plane.
