Anthony Joshua former rival who brutally KO’d him gives Jake Paul secret to causing huge upset

Andy Ruiz Jr has revealed exactly how Jake Paul can hurt Anthony Joshua.

Paul is currently preparing to meet Joshua in a professional heavyweight fight on December 19 in Miami.

The American is at a severe disadvantage heading into their eight-round contest, having only fought a mixture of MMA fighters and smaller boxers in his career so far.

One man that is familiar with being the underdog in a fight with ‘AJ’ is Ruiz Jr.

Although the former unified heavyweight world champion managed to send shockwaves around the boxing scene in their inaugural meeting.

When they fought at Madison Square Garden in 2019, the Mexican dropped Joshua four times en route to a vicious knockout win in the seventh round.

While he lost their rematch, Ruiz Jr successfully pulled off one of boxing’s biggest upsets the first time around.

As Paul gears up to take on the Watford native next, Ruiz Jr has revealed the secret to him hurting Joshua the same way that he did.

He told TMZ: “Just get him with the right hand.

“That’s what Jake Paul is looking for, the right hand, and if he lands he can do good damage.

“A lot of people underestimate Jake Paul, but in reality, he’s a good fighter.

“He’s dedicated, and that’s what I like about him.”

Will Andy Ruiz Jr’s advice help Jake Paul?

Having made just 13 appearances as a pro, Paul is expected to be on the back foot within the opening round.

Despite that, he is supremely confident that he has the tools in the armory to cause the former two-time heavyweight champion problems.

The general consensus is that Paul doesn’t possess the power to cause any damage to ‘AJ’, even if he tries to mimic Ruiz Jr in the ring.

Which is exactly what 28-year-old has suggested that he intends to try and do.

At their launch press conference, he revealed: “Look what happened the last time they came to America and the plans they had.
