Analyst Reveals Impressive Stat About Edgerrin Cooper’s Discipline

The Green Bay Packers have many unsung heroes. Everybody talks about their stars, and rightfully so, but this team is a finely-tuned machine that runs on hard work and team effort.
With that in mind, team analyst Daire Carragher took to X to tip his hat to veteran LB Edgerrin Cooper. While not many people talk about him, he wanted to shed light on how impressive he’s been from a discipline standpoint:
“Edgerrin Cooper has committed two (2) penalties since November 2021. He has played almost 3,000 football snaps in that timespan,” Carragher posted on X.

Usually, not hearing a player’s name mentioned often might be considered a lack of impact. Then again, other times, it just shows that they’re doing their job. That’s the case with Cooper, who doesn’t turn plenty of heads with his play but is rarely caught sleeping, out of focus, or out of position.
It takes plenty of mental strength and discipline to avoid penalties, not to mention elite emotional control. Cooper possesses all of those traits.
The Packers’ defense has been absolutely elite this season. They have proven that they can shut down some of the best offenses in the game with ease, and while Micah Parsons will continue to steal most of the headlines, players like Cooper also deserve a lot of credit for making life easier for him and everybody else around him.
This offense hasn’t necessarily lived up to its potential this season, to the point where some might say that it has been slightly disappointing. At least, they can always count on Jeff Hafley’s unit to keep him in every game.
