Al Michaels takes a shot at the NFL while praising the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ uniforms
Not many teams in the NFL have better throwback uniforms than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ creamsicles.
At least according to Al Michaels. The 80-year-old broadcasting legend made his opinion known on Thursday Night Football when the Buccaneers welcomed the Atlanta Falcons to town.

“I haven’t talked about these uniforms,” Michaels said to his booth partner, Kirk Herbstreit.
“You have these throwback uniforms, I love this. This is what they’re wearing tonight. These are the original cream popsicle uniforms that they wore back in their first season.
“They wanted to be emblematic of Florida and the sunshine and the oranges and the whole thing.”
“I love them,” Herbstreit chimed in.
“Me too,” Michaels continued.
“Some of the throwback uniforms are like throw-up uniforms. I’m buying these.”
Boom, roasted. Michaels took a not-so-subtle jab at the rest of the NFL and their throwback uniforms.
