Adrian Lewis stuns darts fans with nine-darter in exhibition against Stephen Bunting
Adrian Lewis rolled back the years by hitting a stunning nine-darter in an exhibition match against Stephen Bunting.
The two-time PDC World Champion wowed the crowd in Stevenage with a superb piece of skill which saw opponent Bunting break out into applause.

Fans in attendance rose to their feet as Lewis lapped up the appreciation following his heroics.
After the match, Lewis took to X to thank the fans who came out to watch him.
He wrote: “WOW! What a night in Stevenage, and what a buzz to hit a nine-darter in front of an amazing crowd.
“Thanks to everyone that came tonight, I loved every minute of it.”
Lewis is no stranger to the feat having hit a nine-darter against Gary Anderson in the 2011 World Championship final.
‘Jackpot’ did it again at the same tournament four years later in a match against Raymond van Barneveld
And in 2017, he achieved a quick finish against Michael van Gerwen in a Premier League clash in Liverpool.
Lewis boasts a superb roll of honour in darts comprising four PDC World Cup of Darts titles alongside the legendary Phil Taylor.
He has clocked up a whopping 26 PDC titles throughout his decorated career and is regarded as one of the sport’s greatest players.
But Lewis has encountered his share of roadbumps along the way and in April 2023, he announced that he was taking a break from darts to prioritise his mental well-being and care for his wife who suffers from MSK – an incurable kidney disease.

He made his return to the oche in 2024, joining the Modus Super Series in a bid to find his mojo without the pressure of competing on the tour.
“It’s like a rollercoaster,” Lewis told The Guardian last year. “Because you’re going through that many emotions when you’re on the stage.
“You come off, and obviously you’re not physically tired, but mentally it takes a lot out of you. You’re on such a high, and then when you come back home, you go low.
“You’re constantly picking yourself up. And you haven’t really got time to enjoy anything.
“Like, when I won the world championships, I didn’t have time to enjoy them because I was getting ready straight away for the Premier League.
“You know you’re going to be away five or six days a week, sometimes even more. You miss your kids. You miss birthdays.”

And while fans may wish for the 41-year-old to have one more run on the tour, Lewis appears content with his current output without the pressure of an intense schedule.
Lewis has kept close tabs on the changing face of darts with the sport as popular as it have ever been.
Part of its ascendancy has come from the emergence of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries who currently occupy the top two in the world rankings.
Speaking about Littler’s meteoric rise, Lewis said: “For a young lad he’s got a great head on his shoulders. I just hope the media can give him a bit of a break.
“But I honestly think Luke Humphries, the real No 1, is a great flag bearer for the sport. Just the way he comes across and conducts himself.”
