Aces’ A’ja Wilson has hilarious reaction to passing Becky Hammon on WNBA list

As the Las Vegas Aces beat the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, 85-84, it was another historic outing for star A’ja Wilson, as she continues to climb the all-time scoring leaderboards. While Wilson continues to make WNBA history with the Aces, this time the record she broke is personal, dealing with head coach Becky Hammon.

In the win over the Dream, Wilson scored 20 points on six of 12 shooting from the field, two of two from beyond the arc, to go along with six rebounds, two blocks, and one assist. She passed Hammon on the all-time scoring list with the 20 points, putting her 19th, as she was asked by NBC if she was going to hilariously rub it in her face, leading to a fun response from Wilson.

As Wilson continues to impress with Las Vegas, her main goals appear to be not just further stamping her mark on the league’s history, but bringing another championship after winning it all last season. Entering the win against the Dream, Wilson had been averaging 26.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 61.3 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from deep.

At any rate, Wilson and the Aces look to keep it going, as the team has a 4-1 record, with them being on a four-game winning streak. The next contest for Las Vegas comes on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Sparks, with Wilson looking to once again lead the team to victory.
