Aaron Rodgers Reportedly Dealing With Injury In Sunday’s Start

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have their starting quarterback back on the field on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers missed the loss to the Chicago Bears in spite of his wishes, but he’s not going to stay on the sidelines for much longer.
However, he’ll have to go through a lot to get back on the gridiron. As reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the former MVP is dealing with some major injuries in his left hand:
“Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers, who is set to start today, will do so despite several broken bones in his left wrist, sources say. Rodgers has at least 3 fractures, one of which is a more consequential break that can only happen with significant force. And he’s playing, regardless,” Rapoport posted on X.

Fortunately, he’s not left-handed, and he even claimed that he could’ve played last week. Ultimately, the team chose to err on the side of caution, and they had Mason Rudolph replace him.
The Steelers will square off with the Buffalo Bills in a must-win game for both squads. Mike Tomlin’s team is still sitting at the top of the AFC North, but the division is pretty much up for grabs at this point, especially with the Baltimore Ravens surging after a slow start to the season and Joe Burrow returning for the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bills, on the other hand, know they have plenty of catching up to do with the New England Patriots if they want to reclaim the AFC East. They need to secure a postseason berth, and dropping another game against a team they should beat, at least on paper, won’t do much to appease all the criticism around Sean McDermott’s team.
Josh Allen vs. Aaron Rodgers will always be must-watch television, even if Rodgers’ best years are behind him. Whether he’ll be at his best with this injury or not remains to be seen.
