$6 million Milan Momcilovic rounds out ridiculous Kentucky transfer portal class

Kentucky returned to the NCAA Tournament for a fifth straight year, but was eliminated in the second round. Now, Mark Pope is using the College basketball transfer portal to retool the roster. The capstone of the transfer class was Milan Momcilovic, who decided to head to Kentucky after withdrawing from the NBA Draft.

The transfer class, which brings in six commitments, is one of the best in the nation, according to Kyle Tucker of 247Sports.

“In our @247Sports transfer rankings, Kentucky landed the: No. 1 power forward Milan Momcilovic,  No. 7 point guard Zoom Diallo, No. 7 combo guard Alex Wilkins, No. 19 center Frank Kepnang. Mark Pope and staff did very well. High school recruiting still TBD, but strong portaling,” Tucker posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Momcilovic is the top player in the class after playing three seasons at Iowa State. In his final year, he averaged 16.9 points per game, with 3.1 rebounds and one assist. Zoom Diallo comes in after his second year with Washington. He scored 15.7 points per game, while adding 3.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists.

Alex Wilkins comes in after finishing his freshman year at Furman. There, he started 35 games, with 17.8 points per game and 4.7 assists. Finally, Franck Kepnang also comes in from Washington. He began his career at Oregon in 2020-21, playing two seasons there, before four years at Washington. He was recently granted a seventh year of eligibility, which he is using at Kentucky.

The team also brings in two three-star transfers. Justin McBride is going into his fourth school in four years, starting at Oklahoma State, before a trip to Nevada, and this past season at James Madison. Jerone Morton is also heading to his third team in four years. He spent his first two seasons at Morehead State before playing for Washington State in 2025-26.
